Things to eat

Biga on the Banks

Biga on the Banks is one of the restaurants that we highly recommend due to the fact that it’s a fine dining restaurant that doesn’t lose out on its excellent atmosphere. The dining menus are available online, so you can check them out prior to visiting, and you can make your reservations online as well!

Boilerhouse at Pearl

If you’re looking for more of an adult atmosphere with great drinks and good food, the Boilerhouse at Pearl is for you! Once again, you can look at their menus online, so you can pick out what you want to eat in advance! They also host private catering and dining options if you have a family get-together planned.

Lone Star Cafe

Lone Star Cafe is a great spot to eat for a more relaxed atmosphere and something for everyone! You can take a look at their main menu, which includes bites like marble falls fried mushrooms, Luckenbach pork chops, and their Lone Star steak selection which includes Fort Worth sirloin, Rustlers bacon wrapped filet, Alamo Strip steak and more.

Things to see

Hopscotch

Hopscotch is a permanent 20,000 square foot gallery which features 14 distinctive immersive and interactive installations from over 40 local, national and international artists. The exhibitions do change over time, so there’s usually something new to look at. It has a full bar and lounge area, gift shop, food truck, and their patio often has live music.

Tickets to go to Hopscotch in San Antonio for general admission are $24 for adults, $20 for seniors (65+), students, teachers, healthcare and first responder ID-holders, and children (4-15) for $15. Children three and under are free.

The Witte Museum

The Witte Museum admission is $15 for adults (19-64), free for children three and under, while children four to twelve are $10. Teens (13-18) are $14, while seniors (65+) are the same price, and military members (with ID) are $14. There are no additional fees for buying tickets online, so you can get your tickets in advance of your visit!

Exhibits at the Witte Museum include the Tyrannosaurs: Meet the Family, Antarctic Dinosaurs, and San Jose Tiles: The Art & Artist. It’s a great place to visit and look around, along with visiting their souvenir shop, and grab a bite from the Tremblay Family Cafe while you’re there!
